Amachete is an enterprising department of IMECU (Cuesta Electromechanic Industries), a family-run manufacturer of mechanical devices that’s been industrious in designing and manufacturing innovative components for the mountain biking.

Amachete’s philosophy is to offer its customers exclusive, beautifully crafted pieces that improve the performance of two wheels mechanics, to the greatest extent possible. Each new idea stems directly from the area of competitive racing as a way to improve upon the original system by optimizing its efficiency and durability.

Amachete is currently under the direction of former downhill cyclist and motocross rider Eduardo Cuesta, with logistic and commercial support from Roberto Rodríguez.  Both enthusiasts of the world of “two wheels”, they put all their effort and passion into these products and, above all, into their customer service, which is both personal and friendly.  “Dudu” Cuesta is in charge of design, while Roberto Rodríguez, an Industrial Technical Engineer in Mechanics, heads up production and distribution, as well as technical advising and quality control.

Throughout his sports career as a downhill cyclist, Dudu Cuesta has been part of several Official Teams including; Santa Cruz (1996-1997), Specialized (1998), Kastle (1999-2000) and Canyon (2012-2015).

We offer our experience and passion for the world of two wheels.

The Founder

  • Eduardo Cuesta: I hold a Bachelors degree in INEF (Health and Fitness) and I am passionate about the world of two wheels. Based on my extensive experience in the world of racing both in cycling and off road motorcycling, I created this company. Additionally, I combine my dedication to this company with entrepreneurial leadership roles in the MTB Spanish School and Mammoth MTB routes and adventures, making numerous work shops and technical skills courses. I also collaborate with the best trade magazines in Spain as a test rider.
